The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres. About the Division The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is a statutory authority established under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. The VRQA Schools division is responsible for the registration and regulation of all Victorian schools (government and non-government), school boarding premises, and other school sector providers and ensuring they continue to meet the minimum standards for school registration, including the Child Safe Standards. About the Role The role contributes to the work of a professional, skilled and motivated team in a dynamic environment. A key aspect of the role involves developing relationships with stakeholders across the independent, Catholic and government school sectors, other regulators and government departments in Victoria and nationally. The role will also liaise with the VRQA's panel of reviewers and financial health assessors. The role will report to a Manager in the Schools Division. The work of the Schools Division includes reviews of registered providers, registration and re-registration of providers, and regulatory projects.
