Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Business Support Team Leader to join our Hallam-based team. In this vital role, you'll lead a small team of Customer Service Specialists to deliver exceptional customer experiences, oversee compliance and data accuracy, and provide operational support to ensure service delivery standards are consistently met. You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our service culture, driving continuous improvement, and supporting our national service operations during peak times.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven leadership in customer service or operations, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a customer-first approach.

This full-time role is based at our Head Office in Hallam, VIC and reports to the National Service Operations Manager.


Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Business Support team to deliver outstanding service.

Manage customer inquiries, escalations, and service scheduling support during peak periods or leave coverage.

Oversee data accuracy in SAP, AroFlo, and other systems, ensuring compliance documentation is maintained.

Collaborate with service, projects, and field teams to improve efficiency and reduce rescheduling.

Support invoicing processes and job closure activities in coordination with Accounts.

Monitor KPIs, analyse service trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Build strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and key stakeholders.


About You

Minimum 5 years' experience in customer service or operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Experience with ERP or job management systems (e.g., SAP, AroFlo) and Microsoft Office.

Strong communication, coaching, and team development skills.

Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Proactive problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement.

Positive, adaptable, and committed to living Wastech's values

Background in manufacturing, service, or waste management (desirable).
