Support Person, and Community Connector in Burton - 6 hours every Thursday
I am a young man living with my family in Burton, eager to build connections and engage in meaningful roles in my local community. I enjoy bowling, music, hiking, hosting parties, and cooking BBQs at gatherings. I am passionate about helping others, contributing to my community and caring for the environment through recycling. One day, I hope to have a place of my own to call home.
I am looking for someone to support me every Thursday, and help me become familiar with my local community. This role isn't fully defined, so I need a helping hand to explore and establish a routine. If you are energetic, lead by example, and love exploring, we would love to hear from you
I can be spontaneous but I do best when I have consistent, predictable and trusted support, who does not judge or make assumptions. You'll hold space and stay consistent when things get wobbly, and gently — but firmly — use everyday moments to teach, guide, and support everyday decision-making. It's about being real, reliable, and respectful.
This role would suit someone who believes they can:
* Make a positive and patient contribution to someone's life
* Utilise fun competition and role-modelling to teach life skills
* Understand how to facilitate positive decision-making
* Thoughtfully address challenges
* Appreciate the authority of family
* Communicate with confidence and consistency
* Provide long-term, familiar support that fosters trust and stability
I am seeking someone to support me for 6 hours on Thursdays 9:00am – 3:00pm.
The role commences at level 2.1 casual rate of $43.23 per hour.

All applicants must have or be willing to obtain:
* Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
* A current NDIS Worker Check

Company Overview
For more than 30 years, the Community Living Project has worked in close partnership with families to build opportunities for a good life for their family member who is living with a disability. Community Living Project focuses on building inclusion. To us, this means that everyone matters and all people are welcomed, included and contributing to community life. We work with one person at a time to craft individualised support in a way that ensures each person (and their family) has as much control as possible over all aspects of their life. We believe all people should have the opportunity to pursue a unique lifestyle that is personally meaningful, relevant and typically intertwined in their community. We will not offer you a generic 'program', 'vacancy' or 'place'. Instead, we will help you to craft your participation and inclusion in the community.
