We’re looking for a motivated Spray Painting Team Leader to join our Belconnen site and help drive excellence in quality, productivity, and customer experience. This is a Monday to Friday role - No weekend work required.
About the Role
As the Paint Team Leader, you’ll work closely with the Repair Centre Manager to ensure high‑quality repairs are delivered on time, every time. You’ll oversee the day‑to‑day workflow of the Paint department, support your team’s development, and help maintain a safe, organised and positive workplace.
This is an essential leadership role where your technical expertise and people skills will directly influence team performance and customer satisfaction.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
* Organising and scheduling daily workflow, allocating tasks across the team.
* Ensuring parts are available and ready at the correct stage of repair.
* Overseeing quality of all paint processes, ensuring it meets scope and timeframes.
* Providing hands‑on support to team members with repairs and paint tasks.
* Conducting quality checks at each stage of the process.
* Coaching, mentorship, and development of team members to improve capability and productivity.
* Assisting the Estimator or Repair Centre Manager when required.
* Identification and escalation of performance or attendance issues.
* Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised workshop environment.
* Promoting safe work practices, including correct use of PPE.
* Encouraging a respectful, positive and collaborative team culture.
* Upholding company policies regarding uniforms, equipment, customer vehicles and property.

* Trade qualification as in Collision Repairs or Refinishing.
* A strong interest in vehicles and repair processes.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* A process‑driven and action‑oriented approach.
* A collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a team.
* A passion for coaching others and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
