Teaching Support Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching support professional to join our team on a 12-month part-time basis. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs by identifying their requirements, consulting with parents, colleagues, and external providers. You will also deliver targeted interventions, teach students, and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation, as specified by the Learning Support Leader or Coordinator.

About the Role:

As a key member of our learning support team, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting with the identification of students with special educational needs, collaborating with parents, colleagues, CSO personnel, and external providers;
2. D Delivering targeted interventions, teaching students, and assisting teachers with curriculum differentiation, as specified by the Learning Support Leader or Coordinator;
3. Collaborating with class teachers and other relevant individuals to design, implement, and monitor adjustments documented in Personalised Plans (PP) or Learner Profiles (LP);
4. Working collaboratively with other Learning Support personnel;
5. Contributing to staff professional development and parent education programs;
6. Liaising with schools during transition periods;
7. Supporting the development of inclusive learning environments;
8. Assisting in implementing programs and processes to support students with disabilities; and
9. Building capacity among school staff in special education.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Experience working with students with disabilities (K-6);
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff and external stakeholders;
* Ability to deliver professional learning for staff and parents;
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skills;
* Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher or approved three-year trained due to significant prior experience as a Teacher within the system.
