Seeking an Geologist, Geotechnical Engineer or Experienced Geotechnical Driller for a position in a small geotechnical consultancy. Graduate to Intermediate level candidates encouraged to apply as with experienced field technicians & drillers. Full time position, subject to successful completion of probationary period. Based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with our office in Ferntree Gully, we have been experiencing continued growth in our geotechnical services area. Servicing Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
The role
The role is primarily a field based position undertaking drilling and logging of soils for site classification/soil testing & geotechnical site investigation reports.
Successful candidates
The successful candidate will have attention to detail and strong technical skills. Following a training period, the candidate must have proven their ability to safely and effectively operate 4x4, truck, track mounted drill rigs and hand held equipment.
The candidate must be a confident and safe road user as the position will require driving from site to site. Thus a valid driver's license is essential.
Experience with or proficient knowledge of Victorian soils and geology highly desirable.
