Payroll Officer - Sydney Olympic Park
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our HR Operations function at Sydney Olympic Park. Reporting directly to the Weekly Payroll Team Leader, this role is accountable for accurate and timely weekly payroll processing and related functions and providing expertise in an accurate and confidential manner as well as assisting staff members with payroll related issues.
As the Payroll Officer, you will:
* Management for end to end processing of a combination of weekly, fortnightly or monthly payrolls, payrolls are highly complex and cover over 100 Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, with multiple local agreements.
* Plan and coordinate all the activities of the various payrolls, ensuring attention to detail and alignment to the correct EBAs.
* Take ownership of the specific payroll and take personal responsibility for the overall end to end process.
* Provide specialist support for the Workday to Preceda workflows.
* Manage year end payroll requirements with appropriate wages reconciliations and the issuing of Payment Summaries to staff within legislative timeframe.
* Lead EBA/award and salary review processes and provide expert advice on related conditions of employment
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Sound payroll experience and knowledge of payroll procedures.
* Experience in handling weekly, fortnightly and monthly pays including multiple pay runs or a similar environment.
* Expert knowledge in Termination calculations as they relate to taxation and LSL.
* Strong knowledge of PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, Workers Compensation and Long Service Leave.
* Ability to comprehend various awards/EBAs as they relate to the different Toll business units.
* Understand the integrations between Workday and Preceda.
