We are seeking an experienced, passionate and hands‐on Assistant Director to join our leadership team and help drive high quality education and care across our growing service.
About the Role
Working closely alongside our supportive Service Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the day‐to‐day operations of the centre, supporting compliance, mentoring educators, building strong family relationships and ensuring the delivery of exceptional educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
This is a leadership position suited to someone who thrives on supporting others, leading by example and maintaining high standards across all aspects of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the day‐to‐day management and operations of the service
* Act as Responsible Person when required, including opening and closing duties
* Lead, mentor and support educators to deliver high‐quality educational programs
* Support compliance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Law, EYLF and NQS
* Assist with Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) implementation and ongoing quality practices
* Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
* Assist with centre administration, audits, reporting and assessment and rating preparation
* Promote child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practices across the service

What We're Looking For
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) – Early Childhood Teachers are encouraged to apply
* Minimum 1 year experience working as an Assistant Director in an early childhood setting (essential)
* Flexible availability across operating hours (must be available to open and close when required)
* Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS and regulatory requirements
* Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team
* Passion for delivering high quality education and care and supporting continuous improvement
* Confident acting as Responsible Person when required
* Current WA Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid, CPR and Child Protection Training (or willingness to obtain)
