You have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, energy management, and system integration, and are committed to optimizing building performance and ensuring seamless operation of critical infrastructure. Your technical proficiency and safety commitment make you a trusted professional in the field.What You'll DoIn the role of BAS Technician, your duties will include:Provide Leadership: Guide the HVAC crew by providing input and leadership, ensuring the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute services.Execute Mechanical Services: Oversee the execution of HVAC mechanical services, ensuring high quality and cost efficiency.Direct Activities: Manage and direct HVAC mechanics who install, service, and repair environmental-control systems in various commercial establishments.Utilize Technical Knowledge: Apply refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout knowledge to enhance service quality and efficiency.Evaluate Service Execution: Assess HVAC service for compliance with contracts, design data, schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Provide updates and advice on status, issues, impacts, risks, and costs to the project team.Maintain Plans: Keep updated short-range plans, discuss deviations with the Superintendent, and ensure alignment with project goals.Monitor Budgets: Review and monitor installation costs and man-hours, ensuring alignment with financial constraints and project specifications.Develop Equipment Plans: Develop detailed equipment and tool requirement plans, reviewing and adjusting with the Superintendent to meet project needs.Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear communication with the project team and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and address issues promptly.Ensure Compliance and Safety: Promote adherence to safety protocols and standards, minimizing risks and ensuring crew safety.Other duties as required.Requirements:Must be a US or Australian citizenCompletion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of BAS Technician experience managing similar USG projects of size, scope, and complexity, preferably with understanding of mission needs.Must possess an OEM certification in BAS systems or a similar certification.Proven experience leading and managing a team of information and telecommunication management professionals.Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs.Ability to maximize services and capabilities provisioned as a service.Excellent oral and written communication skills in a fast-paced environment.Clearance: Must possess an active US Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.This role is located in Alice Springs at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 sq ft of mission and support space.
