About the Ngaanyatjarra Council
The Ngaanyatjarra Lands are managed by the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group, a wholly community-led entity representing the interests of Traditional Owners (Yarnangu) across 11 communities in Central and Goldfields WA. Each community is autonomous and separately incorporated.
Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) employs over 450 people and provides a wide range of services including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, retail, art centres, and land management. NCG is one of Australia’s largest and most successful Indigenous organisations.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Remote Security Officer to join our Work Health and Safety team.
In this role, you will provide frontline safety, security, and emergency response support across Ngaanyatjarra Council operational areas and remote communities. This includes protecting assets, and facilities, as well as assisting in emergency management and incident response in isolated environments.
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Providing physical security in static and mobile roles.
* Conducting patrols, access control, and perimeter monitoring.
* Provide a presence at NG facilities, staff accommodation, and worksites.
* Responding to safety, security, and welfare incidents.
* Completing incident reports, patrol logs, and documentation in line with WHS and security licensing requirements.
* Liaising respectfully and establishing rapport with community members and maintaining professional conduct at all times.
* Preserving evidence and supporting investigations as required.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
Essential:
* Valid Security Licence
* Current First Aid & CPR certification
* National Police Clearance
* Valid driver’s licence
* Strong situational awareness and calm decision-making under pressure
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Cultural awareness and ability to respectfully engage with Aboriginal communities
* Ability to work longer day or night shifts designed to ensure safe and reliable coverage of remote sites.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in government or Indigenous organisations
* Experience in emergency response, risk management, or security operations
* Experience working in remote, isolated, or high-risk environments
