Position Descriptor:
Mount Barker High School is seeking two enthusiastic and committed teachers for their disability unit classes n 2026. These teaching positions require some skills in using ABLES for assessment and reporting, ACARA General capabilities for programming and assessment and writing accurate One Plans or willing to upskill with the use of these platforms. Knowledge in Augmentative communication systems, Key word sign, literacy programs and emotional regulation is an advantage but not essential. The teacher will need to have an understanding with the Team around the child approach.
Desirable skills:
1. Able to develop student skills using diverse curriculum.
2. Able to work with students with disabilities and diverse needs.
3. Able to work in a team with teachers and SSO's.
