Your Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care tailored to the correctional environment, managing a wide range of health issues unique to this setting.
Conduct health assessments, chronic disease management, and emergency response within secure facilities.
Deliver care that respects security protocols while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
Work closely with correctional officers, medical teams, mental health specialists, and allied health professionals to support holistic inmate care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with all safety and infection control standards.
What We're Looking For
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (unrestricted).
Must have full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
Strong clinical skills including emergency response, medication administration, and chronic disease management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within secure environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with patients, security staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to travel and commit to 6-12 week locum contracts in regional or remote correctional facilities.
