About the role
As the Design & Marketing Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the marketing team to maximise venue usage through strategic, targeted promotional campaigns. You will draw on your graphic design expertise to create high quality, engaging content that elevates the Saltwater brand, enhances audience engagement, and drives attendance at events. Your creativity and attention to detail will help ensure Saltwater's marketing initiatives are distinctive, timely, and effective across digital and print platforms.
What you'll be doing
* Deliver a monthly content plan to support promotions across the Saltwater marketing and communication platforms, monitor marketing and media coverage.
* Keep the Saltwater website updated with new events and shows.
* Assist with copywriting of marketing materials and editorial.
* Liaise with suppliers to ensure print collateral is delivered to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
* Manage the Saltwater email marketing campaigns and ensure the subscriber database is kept current.
* Create social media content such as reels and other digital assets to be published online.
* Design print advertisements, print collateral, signage and promotional material.
* Resize images to meet the requirements of the ticketing platform and website.
* Photography and videography for digital media content.
What you'll bring to the role
* Well developed graphic design and content creation skills.
* Proficiency in Adobe, Canva and Microsoft software.
* Experience working within the arts/events/tourism industry.
* An eye for detail and understanding of design principles.
* A positive attitude and flexible approach to tasks.
Pre-employment requirements
* Current C-class Drivers Licence
* National Police Clearance (obtained within last 6 months)
* Proof of right to work in Australia
Hours and conditions
This role is part time 0.6FTE (22.8 hours per week), and the working days and times are flexible.
