The key duties of the position include The Role The APS 5 Recruit Administration Supervisor is responsible for the administration of Army's newest soldiers at the 1st Recruit Training Battalion. Some administrative support is also provided to the military and APS staff of the unit. The role requires the supervision of a number of teams and individuals who collectively: Ensure initial administration for all Army recruits is completed including pay and personnel records. Administer recruits during training including personnel tracking, leave, travel, trade transfer requests, and the updating of corporate records. Conduct exit administration for trainees leaving Army. Ensure recruits and staff comply with requirements to achieve security clearances. Monitor and manage unit security documentation and briefings. Coordinate the flow of information into and out of the unit via the operation of unit registry functions. The successful applicant will undertake a number of duties including, but not limited to: Managing subordinate teams, including the allocation and monitoring of tasks and the management and development of staff. Conducting on boarding and training of new administrative staff. Providing technical oversight of clerical staff within subordinate elements. Building and sustaining relationships with team members and stakeholders within and external to the unit. Monitoring changes in higher-level policy and developing changes to unit practice to ensure compliance. Providing advice to the Commanding Officer and other staff on recruit administration and security matters.
