The Responsibilities
* Provide personal care including hygiene, grooming, dressing and mobility assistance.
* Support independence and participation in daily activities, promoting dignity and choice.
* Administer medication as required according to our policies.
* Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with nursing and management personnel.
* Contribute to infection prevention and workplace health and safety practices.
* Assist with mealtime support to ensure nutritional needs are met.
* Foster a kind and respectful environment upholding our values and resident rights.
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work across different sites and shifts.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care is required.
* Experience working in an aged care setting as a carer is essential.
* Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
* Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills are required.
* Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction and meeting mental and emotional health needs of residents is necessary.
* Ability to meet all compliance requirements including National Police Clearance is expected.
