Temporary Medical Receptionist – Clinic Phone & Bookings (Remote)
Job Summary
We are a boutique cosmetic clinic seeking a temporary medical receptionist to hold and manage the clinic phone while the clinic owner is on leave from 8 February to 24 February (inclusive) .
The role primarily involves being available and responsive rather than performing constant daily work. On average, this role requires approximately 20–30 minutes of active work per day, with additional income available through commission for new client bookings.
There will be future holiday coverage required, and for the right person, this role may expand into more regular or ongoing work as the business grows and demand increases over the next 6 months .
Key Responsibilities
* Holding the clinic phone 24/7 from 8–24 February (inclusive)
* Responding promptly to client texts and calls
* Confirming upcoming appointments
* Booking new client enquiries into the clinic
* Liaising with the nurse regarding daily schedules or changes
* Remotely ensuring the Oakleigh clinic is disarmed by messaging the relevant staff member
* Following set communication scripts and clinic processes
About You
* Previous medical reception or clinic administration experience preferred
* Very comfortable communicating via text and phone
* Fast responder with strong written communication
* Reliable and able to hold responsibility for the clinic phone
* Comfortable working remotely and independently
* Fully available for the coverage period 8–24 February
* Open to providing future holiday coverage if the role is a good fit
Experience in cosmetic or medical clinics is highly regarded but not essential.
