PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

To lead the delivery of performance, compliance, assurance, and business support functions across Core Operations, ensuring alignment with Power
and Water's governance frameworks and strategic objectives. The role is responsible for driving continuous improvement and assurance practices,
and supporting operational and financial performance through effective leadership, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The "WHAT" to be delivered

Performance and Assurance
• Manage the oversight of compliance assurance activities for Core Operations in accordance with Power and Water's Compliance Framework,

including providing strategic and tactical advice and coordination assistance for corporate stakeholders.
* Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement by embedding risk-based thinking and strong governance into the day-to-day.
* Implement and oversee operational assurance and control processes to improve consistency, accountability, and performance.
* Manage the coordination and review cross-functional contributions to corporate documents, including briefing notes, ministerial responses,
and technical updates, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
* Oversee, coordinate, review, advise on cross-functional inputs into the development of quality standards, procedures and business unit
documents to ensure appropriate controls are in place to comply with Power and Water policies and standards.
* Monitor Core Operations performance against agreed metrics and escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders where action is required.
Business Operations and Support
• Manage the Business Support team, ensuring timely delivery of financial, administrative, and project support services across capital and operational programs.
* Accountable for the operational reporting and analysis of the capital portfolio through the Capex Portfolio Steering Committee, ensuring data
accuracy, governance alignment, and visibility of progress and risks.
* Work across teams to investigate and resolve emerging business issues or process gaps that impact delivery; partnering with stakeholders to
implement sustainable solutions.
* Ensure delivery of fit-for-purpose business processes that support effective decision-making, operational efficiency, and alignment with policy
and compliance requirements.
* Support the coordination and review of capital portfolio inputs for the Statement of Corporate Intent (SCI) and business planning processes,
ensuring project prioritisation reflects risk, strategic alignment, and available funding.
Financial Oversight and Reporting
• Support financial governance by coordinating reporting and forecasting of capital and operational expenditure across Core Operations.
* Partner with Finance and operational teams to ensure high-quality data underpins performance and budget reporting.
* Support the rollout and application of budget management processes within Core Operations, embedding financial discipline.
People Leadership and Team Delivery
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, performance feedback, and targeted development opportunities.
* Set clear priorities, manage resources effectively, and ensure team outcomes are delivered on time and to the required standard.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team and across stakeholder groups.
Safety, Environment, and Customer Focus
• Lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture, supporting safety conversations, risk assessments, and performance monitoring.
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and policies in all team activities and promote sustainability through operational practices.
* Deliver customer-focused services by building strong internal relationships and ensuring deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
