About Our Client
Our client is a billion dollar organisation in the automotive industry that operates 8 dealerships across Victoria.
Job Description
* Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, KPIs, and actionable insights for senior leadership.
* Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor performance across key operational departments.
* Lead monthly review meetings with department managers, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommending improvement actions.
* Complete intercompany reconciliations and support year‐end processes, including financial statements, audit schedules, and auditor liaison.
* Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and scenario modelling aligned with business objectives.
* Oversee cash management, receipting compliance, and daily cashflow monitoring.
* Provide commercial and operational financial support, including pricing analysis, margin reviews, cost assessments, and profitability improvement initiatives.
* Analyse departmental and product‐line performance, presenting insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
* Monitor warranty claims, receivables, supervise stocktakes with strong variance investigation.
* Strengthen internal controls, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliant document retention and records management.
The Successful Applicant
* A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related
* CA/CPA qualified
* Big 4/Mid Tier Background preferred (audit or business services)
* Commercially minded with strong communication skills to partner across Sales, Service, Parts and Administration
* Strong understanding of internal controls, process governance and continuous improvement.
* Experience in automotive industry preferred but not essential.
* Has an Australian drivers licence and is willing to travel monthly to regional dealerships (4 days in Epping, 4 days in Warrnambool)
