About the RoleIn this Assistant Buyer position, you'll play a key role in supporting and partnering with our homeware and furniture buyers to ensure category success and profitability. This role offers the chance to grow within the buying team by taking on purchasing responsibilities and assisting with junior categories.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide hands-on support to the homeware & furniture buyers
* Assist with sourcing, purchasing, and reordering products both locally and internationally
* Build and maintain strong relationships with international manufacturers and local suppliers
* Contribute to inventory forecasting across warehouses and retail stores
* Engage collaboratively with multiple departments to drive results
About You
* Experience with a homeware and/or furniture retailer is highly regarded
* Retail experience is highly regarded
* Passionate about home décor and current design trends
* Strong communicator with a collaborative, team-focused mindset
* Resourceful, adaptable, and results-driven
* Strong administration skills with keen attention to detail
* Proactive, with strong initiative and a willingness to contribute to the team
