Yargan is currently seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join our minor projects team for upcoming construction and refurbishment works at Rio Tinto & Roy Hill mine sites.
This role is a great opportunity for a Trade Assistant with 2+ years experience looking to further their FIFO career Operating on a 12/9 roster, you will be assisting Plumbers and Carpenters to complete project works including building refurbishments, building installations, on-site maintenance and minor civil works .
Please note this is not an entry-level position.
Your duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Installing conduits
* Assisting with concrete pours
* Spotting
* Prepping and sanding surfaces for painting or finishing
* Assisting with maintenance tasks
* Setting up and installing barricades for work areas
* Traffic management
* Operation of power tools
* Demolitions
* Operating a light truck
Qualifications and requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar TA role is essential
* Construction White Card
* Working at Heights
* Elevated Work Platform
* Excavator ticket
* C-Class Australian Driver's License (HR-Class License highly desirable, P-Plates not accepted)
* Experience in carpentry, plumbing or HDPE welding
* Previous construction experience is essential
* Applicants must live in WA, all flights are from Perth
