Position: Domiciliary Care Worker (Male / Female)Location: Newcastle, UKEmployment Type: Full-Time Part-TimeJob Summary: We are looking for dedicated and compassionate female domiciliary care workers to join our Clients team in the Newcastle area. The role involves providing high-quality personal care and support to clients in their own homes. Candidates must have a valid driving licence and access to a car .Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support with toileting needs and continence management.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor health conditions.
- Report any changes in health to a supervisor or healthcare professional.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social activities.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Ensure the home environment is safe and comfortable.
- Provide companionship and engage in conversation to alleviate loneliness.
- Support clients' mental and emotional well-being through active listening and encouragement.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client's condition.
- Complete daily logs and report to the supervisor as required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Attend regular training sessions and stay updated with best practices in care.
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Must have experience in domiciliary care within UK.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
