Role description: We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Cost Manager / Civil Estimator to join our Cost and Commercial Management Team, supporting the delivery of multiple commissions and contributing to the success of our local infrastructure projects. Reporting directly to the local Infrastructure Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the future of transport infrastructure. Our ideal candidate will have experience developing first principles estimates for heavy civil, road, rail, utilities, and / or aviation projects. Role accountabilities: • Developing first principles estimates for heavy civil, road, rail, utilities, and / or aviation projects. • Supporting the preparation of estimates, cost plans, bills of quantities, and variations assessments. • Providing probabilistic P50/P90 risk assessments to help manage project uncertainties. • Collaborating with our wider cost management team to deliver cost planning, estimating, and commercial-based services. • Supporting the development of the Arcadis Cost and Commercial Management offering in a client-facing role, through the delivery of services to a high quality. • Delivering commissions within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality. Qualifications & Experience: If you are an experienced Cost Manager or Civil Estimator with a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects, we want to hear from you! To thrive in this role, you will ideally possess: A passion for transforming the world around you and improving the quality of life. Demonstrated experience working on large-scale transport infrastructure projects. Strong expertise in infrastructure cost management, including the use of software applications such as Expert Estimation, CostX, and @Risk (preferred but not essential). Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualified experience in a similar role. An innovative mindset, with a drive to challenge the status quo and deliver exceptional results.
