Role description: Arcadis have now opened an expression of interest for a Risk Manager / Senior Risk Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the successful delivery of major infrastructure programmes across Australia. Working in close partnership with clients and project teams across sectors, you will provide embedded and strategic risk management expertise, leading risk identification, assessment, and quantitative analysis to support informed decision‑making. You will integrate risk with planning, cost, and commercial functions, apply industry‑leading tools and standards, and help embed a strong risk culture across complex, multi‑disciplinary environments. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact projects while being part of Arcadis’ growing, globally connected Risk Management practice. Role accountabilities: Deliver embedded and strategic risk management services across major infrastructure programmes and projects. Lead risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities across the project lifecycle. Facilitate collaborative risk and interface workshops with clients, contractors, and subject matter experts. Develop, implement, and maintain project and programme risk management plans aligned with ISO 31000. Integrate risk management with planning, cost, commercial, and project controls functions. Undertake and lead Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) for cost and schedule. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to support contingency setting and strategic decision-making. Analyse and interpret QRA outputs to identify trends, emerging risks, and areas of material exposure. Produce high-quality risk dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior and executive stakeholders. Coach and support teams and clients to build risk capability and foster a strong risk culture. Qualification & Experience: 3 years’ experience in risk management (5 years for Senior Risk Manager roles). Experience working on major infrastructure programmes or within a PMO environment. Strong knowledge of risk management principles, standards, and frameworks, including ISO 31000. Hands-on experience delivering Quantitative Risk Analysis using tools such as @Risk, Safran, or Primavera Risk Analysis. Experience with enterprise or project risk systems such as Active Risk Manager, Cura, Predict!, or Xactium. Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail and data integrity. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders. A proactive, collaborative, and consulting-oriented mindset. Desirable Experience & Qualifications Professional certifications such as APM Risk, IRM, PMP, or PRINCE2. Membership of a recognised professional risk management body (e.g. RMIA, IRM, PRMIA, GARP). Experience across multiple infrastructure sectors. Familiarity with planning tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
