Job Overview
As a Reporter with the ABC, you'll cover issues affecting major population centers, rural and remote areas, and the agricultural sector of this region, often referred to as the food bowl of Australia.
You'll also have the opportunity to report on and participate in various sporting codes in a region known for producing numerous sporting greats.
The Role
The successful applicant will help shape public discourse in the Riverina region by breaking exclusive stories on multiple platforms, including audio, video, and online content.
Working independently and collaboratively, you'll have a passion for finding and telling engaging stories that enthral and captivate our audience.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and present radio news, including breaking news stories, news bulletins, interviews, and audio and video packages across all platforms.
* Research, pitch, and develop compelling stories with distinctive angles that are high value and exclusive to the organization.
* Get out and about in local Riverina communities to create lasting relationships and tell stories important to them.

You are a news junkie who thrives in a high-performing, breaking news environment and bring innovation and initiative to our modern newsroom.
You will have a passion for telling unique stories and an ability to work independently, collaboratively, and cooperatively quickly under pressure.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A creative approach to storytelling across multiple platforms.
* Deep knowledge of news media and a desire to consume news content across a variety of publications and broadcasters.
* Enthusiasm to travel to remote locations to tell the stories of people living in those areas.
* Current Driver's License.
