About the Role
As the Workshop Controller, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily flow of work through the service department — ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You'll act as the key link between service advisors, technicians, and management to deliver an exceptional customer experience and maintain strong operational control.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and allocate jobs to technicians to maximise productivity and efficiency
* Monitor workflow and ensure repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard and within required timeframes
* Support and mentor technicians to maintain quality workmanship and compliance with manufacturer standards
* Liaise closely with the service advisor team to communicate repair progress and ensure accurate job updates
* Conduct quality control checks and maintain workshop safety and housekeeping standards
* Assist with diagnosis and technical problem-solving when required
About You
* Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Leading Hand, or Senior Technician
* Strong mechanical knowledge across multiple vehicle brands (franchise experience highly regarded)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to lead a team, motivate others, and maintain a positive workshop culture
