Reporting to the WHS&E; Manager, this permanent full-time position will oversee the RFDS Western Operations occupational health program. Based at our Jandakot base, you will support the health and safety of our workforce through proactive injury prevention, immunisation compliance, fit testing and health monitoring programs.
About you
You are a qualified and proactive health professional who takes pride in maintaining the wellbeing and safety of others. You have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic.
- A current Immunisation Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience managing workplace health programs and compliance registers.
- Sound understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA), Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 and infection control requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach with high attention to detail.
Desirable
• Certificate in Audiometric Testing
• previous experience conducting face mask fit testing.
• Anaphylaxis management training (ASCIA).
• Experience in injury management, health surveillance or clinical compliance programs.
About the role
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate immunisation, mask fit testing and audiometric testing programs across all RFDS WA sites.
- Maintain accurate health and compliance registers and provide regular reporting.
- Support injury prevention and early intervention
- Conduct site visits and provide occupational health assessments as required.
- Work closely with Infection Control, Clinical Governance and Safety teams to ensure compliance with RFDS policies and legislative requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of health programs and WHS initiatives.
