Join the growing Team at GeoDrill Australia as an experienced Drill Rig Fitter Our drilling knowledge has been passed down through four generations.
Due to our rapid growth we are seeking an experienced Drill Fitter with specific Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems Experience preferably from the Sunshine Coast, but will fly in the right fit as well.
We are currently seeking experienced drill fitters to work as part of our field teams on a 2:2 FIFO roster. There will also be work some available based at our main workshop facility in Chevallum, Sunshine Coast in Queensland performing Equipment mid-life rebuilds and repairs.
GeoDrill Australia will provide flights, accommodation, and meals for FIFO roles.
The candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing various mobile equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform on-site servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs to mobile plant, including drilling rigs, trucks, compressors, light vehicles and ancillary equipment.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults and attend machine breakdowns on site.
* Liaise with the Workshop Manager to diagnose faults and coordinate parts.
* Ability to control parts inventory and prepare orders for upcoming Planned Maintenance.
Candidate Skills & Experience:
* Relevant Trade Qualification (eg: Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical Trade)
* 5+ years Drill fitting experience (working on Drill Rigs is an important skill to progress through to interview)
* Field service experience
* Experience working with hydraulics and 12/24v electrical
* Basic knowledge of CMMS programs
* Strong focus on safety and quality
* Current First Aid + White Card
* Experience with Air Compressors
* Heavy vehicle driver's licence highly regarded
* Be a reliable, team player
