School Leader Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated school leader to join our community. As an instructional leader, you will build strong relationships with all members of the school community and provide strategic leadership, coaching, and mentoring support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Senior Leadership Team in strategic and operational planning, focusing on inclusion, wellbeing, and targeted learning support.
* Design, implement, and evaluate a whole-school Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), incorporating Response to Intervention (RTI) across Student Services, Flexible Learning, VET, and Careers Education.
* Drive a consistent approach to behaviour management, including staff capability-building in age-appropriate strategies and restorative practices.
* Oversee data-driven intervention programs for students with additional needs, ensuring measurable outcomes.
* Plan and implement legislative, financial, and educational responsibilities aligned to the ACT Education Inclusion Strategy, embedding these into school systems and resource planning.
* Manage daily staffing operations, addressing emerging needs within budget and securing additional support as required.
* Support the Executive Team to foster inclusive teaching and learning, and a whole-school culture of wellbeing and engagement.
* Lead school-wide portfolios, including Student Management, Wellbeing, Enrolments, and Transitions, ensuring effective systems and improved student outcomes.
* Build partnerships with parents, external agencies, community groups, and industry to support student pathways and engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an instructional leader and manager.
* Strong understanding of education inclusion principles and practices.
* Ability to design and implement evidence-based programs.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Capacity to lead and manage teams.
