To primarily provide a timely and accurate assessment of prisoners regarding their Protection needs. To provide support to Intelligence and Administration sections as required.
Qualifications, Professional Registration, Conditions And Other Requirements
There are no mandatory qualifications for this position; however, possession of ATP013 Intelligence Awareness Course will be highly regarded.
In This Role You Will
1. Complete Protection Needs Assessments on Prisoners
2. Meet with prisoners to discuss their Protection Needs
3. Research Prisoner files in preparation of Protection Needs assessments
4. Prepare documentation with recommendations to the General Manager for approval of Protection assessments
5. Maintain documentation within IOMS
6. Provide statistical information to Management monthly
7. Ensure the confidentiality of all documentation handled
8. Review and assess all incoming and outgoing child sex offender mail and maintain associated registers in accordance with agency policies and procedures
9. Provide administration support to the QCS drug testing regime
10. Provide administration support to the office as required, in particular to the Manager
11. Provide support to Intelligence Section
12. Manage and provide administrative functions and quality, confidential administrative support for the office as required
13. Provide support to other staff on administrative issues and assist with the preparation of memorandums, reports and correspondence
14. Develop, implement and evaluate work systems
15. Assist with monitoring and maintaining the Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS) to ensure accurate statistics are available
16. Prepare, maintain, update and manage offender files
17. Ensure the security of files and appropriate access to the files by relevant staff and approved external agencies
18. Ensure the confidentiality of all documentation handled and maintain a secure filing system
