About the Role
AvantiCare is seeking both an experienced Senior Physiotherapist and one to two year post qualified Physiotherapists to join its Allied Health team. The Senior Physiotherapist will take on a dual clinical and leadership role, maintaining a full clinical load while contributing to AvantiCare's clinical supervision framework. Post-qualified physiotherapists will primarily focus on high-quality clinical service delivery, with opportunities for professional development and mentorship.
Purpose
To deliver outstanding, person-centred physiotherapy care that supports client outcomes while strengthening the capability of fellow physiotherapists. Senior Physiotherapists will focus on mentorship and leadership, whereas post-qualified physiotherapists will focus on expanding clinical expertise under guidance and supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Service Delivery – Deliver physiotherapy services to aged care clients in home and residential settings.
* Senior Physiotherapist – Manage complex and high need caseloads and provide consultation and guidance to other clinicians as required.
* Post-Qualified Physiotherapists – Deliver evidence-based care under support and mentorship, building clinical confidence and competence.
* Facilitate goal setting and outcome-focused intervention planning.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary allied health team to support positive client outcomes.
* Promote evidence-based care, reflective practice and professional standards.
* Act as role models for professionalism and proactive engagement with a remote workforce.
Clinical Supervision and Leadership
* Senior Physiotherapist – Lead AvantiCare's clinical supervision framework, mentor early-career clinicians, and support professional development initiatives.
* Post-Qualified Physiotherapists – Participate in structured supervision, seek guidance and progressively take on more complex cases.
Person Specification
* Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration.
* Senior Physiotherapist – Minimum 5 years' post-registration experience, experience in clinical supervision or mentoring.
* Post-Qualified Physiotherapists – 1–3 years post-registration experience; willingness to learn and develop under supervision.
* Experience delivering physiotherapy services to adult clients with complex or chronic needs.
* Strong reasoning, communication and professional skills.
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
* Professional indemnity insurance.
* Current National Police Check, First Aid, CPR and professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
* Experience in aged care and/or NDIS settings.
* Formal training in clinical supervision, leadership or mentoring (for senior role).
