Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Navigator in a dynamic mental health service. The Navigator will be responsible for providing outreach, support and connection services to youth clients.
The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to implement and provide services to youth with mental health conditions and biopsychosocial complexities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct initial assessments and develop Recovery Action Plans.
* Provide one-to-one support for youth with diagnosed mental illnesses.
* Assist and guide youth in building self-advocacy skills.
* Communicate effectively with clients, professionals, family members and carers.
Key Requirements:
* Certificate IV minimum qualification in mental health, community disability or welfare sector.
* 2 years experience in direct service provision to young people.
* Demonstrated understanding of issues influencing young people's mental well-being.
* Ability to empower young people to participate in their recovery.
* Knowledge of mainstream health and community support organisations.
* Ability to develop and interpret care/action plans.
* Current driver's licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
* National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check.
