Core Responsibilities
* Provide the required support and input to Project Manager in preparing the required Project Management Plans.
* Ensure subcontractor works comply with contract specifications, quality, safety, environmental, sustainability standards, and client requirements.
* Oversee quality control for structural and civil works including FRP, formwork, reinforcement and excavations.
* Provide engineering support for structural elements.
* Support Project Manager, Site Supervisor and WHS representative to enforce compliance with WHS obligations.
* Manage documentation, inspections and reporting via Procore and contractor systems.
* Liaise with Head Contractor, Project Manager and client representatives on project progress and rectifications.
* Lead subcontractor teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and quality.
* Produce reports as required by Quality Management Plan and Client's requirements.
* Record quality observations and defects in the company project management system (Procore) with appropriate rectification plan and nominate assignees as required.
* Provide the required quality documentation such as ITPs and ICTs as per Quality Management Plan requirements.
* Conduct site Quality Audits and participate in third party audits and action findings as appropriate.
Skills & Qualifications
* Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (highly regarded). Intensive industry experience in Quality Management may be considered in lieu of formal qualification.
* Relevant WHS certifications (e.g., White Card, First Aid; Cert IV in WHS advantageous). Training in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, QA/QC auditing) highly beneficial.
* Proficiency with construction management and quality control software (e.g., Procore).
* Current Class C Driver's Licence (essential).
* Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and Codes of Practice.
* Experience in concrete, formwork or structural construction highly regarded.
* Strong written and verbal communication for clear reporting and worker engagement.
Technical Skills
* Strong understanding of structural and civil works quality control requirements (FRP, concrete, reinforcement, formwork, excavations).
* Knowledge of Australian Standards, codes and Defence/government project compliance requirements.
* Experience in quality assurance processes: ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), defect management, hold points, etc.
* Ability to review drawings, specifications and shop drawings to ensure compliance.
* Skilled in documentation, inspections and reporting via digital platforms (Procore, contractor/client systems).
* Familiarity with WHS requirements, safe work practices and ability to monitor on-site compliance.
* Understanding of engineering support functions for structural elements (e.g., reviewing technical issues, supporting design changes).

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple inspections, reports and deadlines.
* Clear and professional communication skills to liaise with subcontractors, head contractors and client representatives.
* Ability to hold subcontractors accountable to quality and safety standards while maintaining strong working relationships.
* Confidence in delivering feedback, identifying rectifications and following through to resolution.
* A team player with the ability to support Project Managers, Site Managers and site teams.
* Commitment to fostering a culture of safety and quality on site.
