Workshop 28 delivers high quality custom cabinetry and joinery solutions for luxury marine fit-outs and residential projects. We are seeking a reliable and detail‐oriented CNC / Machinist Operator to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, enjoys working in a fast‐paced production environment, and wants to be part of a supportive, skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate CNC machinery for cabinetmaking and joinery production
* Load materials and monitor machining processes
* Read and interpret workshop drawings and cutting files
* Set up tooling and perform machine adjustments as required
* Ensure accuracy and quality of finished components
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Assist workshop team with production tasks when required
Skills & Experience
* Experience operating CNC machinery (woodworking/joinery preferred)
* Solid understanding of factory production processes and techniques
* Cabinetmaking or joinery background highly regarded
* Ability to read and follow detailed technical plans and specifications
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
* Reliable, motivated, and a strong team player
* Valid driver's license and reliable transport
* Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
