Senior Manager – Operations
As part of Maersk Contract Logistics, you will develop, design, and implement innovative warehouse solutions, bringing standardisation, visibility, and actionability to customers' supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day‐to‐day operations of a high‐volume 3PL distribution centre, ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost‐effective processes.
* Manage complex automation systems, including robotics, conveyors, sortation systems, and WMS, to maximise throughput and minimise downtime.
* Drive operational performance by setting and monitoring KPIs, ensuring targets for cost, quality, and service levels are met or exceeded.
* Develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams including IT, engineering, and customer service to ensure seamless integration of automated systems and processes.
* Provide leadership and direction to a large team, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
* Proven experience managing a 3PL distribution centre or similar logistics environment, focusing on high‐volume, automated operations.
* Experience within Fashion & Lifestyle, Retail and/or FMCG verticals (desired).
* Expertise in warehouse automation technologies and WMS integration.
* Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage teams in a fast‐paced environment.
* Track record of continuous improvement and process optimisation.
* Ability to solve complex operational challenges with a hands‐on, solutions‐oriented approach.
* Strong commitment and understanding of Work Health and Safety.
