Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing utility scale battery sites, primarily working on the Tesla Megapack battery storage product.
You will join the technician team supporting battery storage sites located within the Moorabool region. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing equipment as defined by the service engineering team, performing complex and precise electro-mechanical debug, rework and repair, and developing and following best practices and procedures for various maintenance activities related to Tesla Energy equipment.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of skill and patience. You must be comfortable and able to work with Medium and High Voltage environments while maintaining a safety focus. You will also operate a variety of hand tools, power tools and LV/MV/HV test equipment for diagnosis and troubleshooting.
About the Role
* Troubleshoot and repair equipment as defined by the service engineering team
* Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical debug, rework and repair
* Develop and follow best practices and procedures for various maintenance activities related to Tesla Energy equipment
* Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools and LV/MV/HV test equipment for diagnosis and troubleshooting
* Maintain high levels of communication and feedback within the Tesla Energy service organization
Requirements
* Certified Electrician (Cert III in Electrical/Electro Technology)
* Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 3 years' electrical experience within the Utility sector (Solar/Wind experience is preferred)
* Must have up to date Electrical Registration/License
* Must have HV switching certification and experience
* SCADA operating experience is a plus
