Austal Defence Australia (ADA) is currently seeking a Fabrication Manager to lead our fabrication operations. In this role you'll be responsible for driving the day-to-day performance of the fabrication's teams, ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of key work across our defence programs.

What's Involved
Lead and manage daily fabrication operations
Plan and coordinate labour, materials and workflow to meet project schedules and production targets
Provide strong, hands-on leadership to fabrication coordinators and trades
Monitor progress and resolve operational issues to keep work moving
Drive HSEQ standards be defining and managing departmental processes, ensuring compliance
Manage departmental financials including estimating input, budget forecasting, variations, contractor costs and prudent expenditure
Build effective working relationships with Projects, Engineering, Production and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless workflow across the business
You'll Need
Trade qualification of equivalent experience
Effective verbal and written communication
Leadership qualification or equivalent experience
Shipbuilding experience or similar
Experience with budget development and management
Experience with Quality and Safety management processes and standards
