Your role
- Undertake child protection proceedings, including preparing court documents and advocacy in hearings.
- Provide legal advice on court practices and procedures.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents for senior lawyers.
- Maintain compliance with quality and case management standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to foster relationships and enhance service delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child protection law.
About You
- Court advocacy skills
- Excellent research and writing abilities
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload effectively and adapt to changing priorities
- Ideally knowledge of or ability to acquire child protection litigation knowledge
- Admission, or eligibility for immediate admission as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland, and enrolment or eligibility for enrolment to practice in the Federal and High Courts of Australia

- $113,804 - $122,400 per year, plus 12.75 per cent super

Additional Information
- Be admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland, at least on a conditional basis within three months of appointment
- An Open C class driver's license is a requirement, with the ability to drive to local Court locations
- Intrastate travel is required and includes same-day and multi-day travel
