Spotlight is seeking a commercially sharp, textile‐obsessed Buyer to join our merchandise team. This role goes far beyond procurement — it's about shaping and elevating our Fabrics portfolio with a strong focus on upholstery, decorator, outdoor, and curtaining Fabrics.
You'll use your industry expertise and trend awareness to build commercially compelling ranges that translate global textile movements into products our customers love. From performance outdoor fabrics to interior styling textiles and innovative curtaining solutions, you will drive the strategy behind our most influential categories.

What You Will Be Doing:
* Curate the Collection: Identify the latest global fabric trends—from seasonal prints to technical textiles—and translate them into stunning product ranges.
* Strategic Growth: Build and execute category strategies that drive sales, margin, and market share.
* Analytical Excellence: Use your commercial savvy to analyse customer data and ensure long‐term category success.
* End‐to‐End Ownership: Manage seasonal buys, margin planning, and inventory strategies to keep our Fabric departments world‐class.
* Leadership: Lead and inspire your team to deliver results in a high‐volume, fast‐paced environment.
About You:
* The Expertise: 3+ years of proven experience as a Retail Buyer, specifically with a background in Textiles, Fabrics, or Hard Goods.
* Global Sourcing: Strong experience in product development and navigating overseas sourcing.
* Commercial Mindset: A track record of achieving category growth and managing complex margins.
* Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and a highly analytical approach to inventory.
* The Drive: You are detail‐oriented, solutions‐driven, and thrive in a rapid retail rhythm.
