This role provides legal information, advice and representation in the civil jurisdiction that includes Tribunals and Courts.
The position is a mental health and disability lawyer appearing as a Tribunal-appointed separate representative for people who have cases in the Mental Health and Guardianship streams of TASCAT with scope to work across other civil law programs.

* Deliver expert legal advice and guidance on rights and legal processes.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
* Represent clients at Tribunals, Magistrates Court and Supreme Court proceedings.
* Collaborate with practitioners to support the management of complex legal matters.
Requirements
* Hold admission or be eligible for admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania and relevant Federal courts.
* Possess Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
* Have more than 2 years' experience as a Legal Practitioner with relevant post-admission expertise.
* Hold a valid Motor Vehicle Driver's Licence.
