Program Coordinator - Vocational Education and Training Branch : Karratha Senior High School Division : Independent Public School - Pilbara Education Region Salary : Level 3, $137,428 - $150,385 per annum (pro-rata).
Fixed Term – Full Time, 12-month contract commencing Term 1, with possible extension or permanency.

Our Health and Physical Education department is situated in the Karratha Leisureplex, benefiting from a co-location arrangement with the City of Karratha.

Role
The Program Coordinator – Vocational Education and Training (VET) will lead, manage and plan all aspects of the school's VET, workplace learning, university enabling programmes, endorsed programmes and other training-related curriculum programs in collaboration with the Deputy Principal and the VET & Careers Team.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining and establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), businesses and other organisations to broaden opportunities for students.
Providing curriculum leadership in VET and working collaboratively with the Executive Team and Senior School Team to achieve positive student outcomes.
Managing and overseeing workplace learning and ensuring effective delivery of VET and career pathways.
Communicating regularly with parents to build and sustain strong partnerships and keep them informed of student progress.
Supporting the whole-school instructional model, including explicit teaching, trauma-informed practice and the use of Positive Behaviour strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideal applicants will have:
Recent experience leading staff within a VET team.
Highly organised, solution-focused communication skills and the ability to contribute to the entire school community.
Strong interpersonal skills, innovative thinking and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated capacity to manage physical and financial resources, and to provide effective leadership in diverse educational settings.
Experience in building and sustaining partnerships with students, stakeholders and staff in relation to VET, secondary pathways and post-school destinations.
