Staff Specialist Psychiatrist* Permanent | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities. An exciting opportunity is available for a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist to join one of NSW’s largest and most comprehensive mental health services. With services spanning metropolitan, regional and coastal communities, this role offers significant clinical diversity, strong multidisciplinary collaboration and excellent professional support.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
* Specialist Registration with AHPRA
* Advanced Trainees anticipating Fellowship within the next 12 months are strongly encouraged to apply
Services / Responsibilities
* Care delivery across Early intervention programs, Acute inpatient units, Community-based recovery services, Child & Adolescent Mental Health, Adult Services and Older Persons Mental Health.
* Care is delivered by skilled multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, registrars, nurses, allied health professionals and administrative staff.
* Consultants work collaboratively across services and may provide peer support and cross-cover within the Greater Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions.
Key Service Locations
* Manning Mental Health Service – Taree: Inpatient services at Manning Hospital and comprehensive community mental health programs across the Lower Mid-North Coast.
* Greater Newcastle Mental Health Service: Inpatient care at the Mater Mental Health Centre (Waratah) and community services throughout Newcastle and Charlestown.
