As a Chef, your responsibilities will include:
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation area and kitchen equipment
* Meal and food preparation for patients as per recipe guide
* Maintain regular daily temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standards
* Implement Food Safety Program
* Sound knowledge of dietary nutrition requirements
* Understanding of accreditation standards, WH&S management, and function coordinating
* Deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff
* Work independently as well as within a team
* Liaise with management
About The Victoria Clinic:
Located on Malvern Road in Prahran, The Victoria Clinic is a 115-bed private psychiatric facility specializing in high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health services. It offers therapeutic, recreational, and occupational activities to support psychological and emotional well-being. The clinic is accessible via public transport, with free onsite parking and proximity to Chapel Street's restaurants and shopping.
Selection Criteria:
* Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cooking or equivalent; Certificate IV preferred
* Management qualification (certificate level)
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Certificate in Safe Food Handling
* Knowledge of HACCP regulations
* Good communication and time management skills
* Pride in personal appearance and hygiene
* Availability for shifts over a 7-day roster, including weekends (morning/afternoon shifts)
* Previous experience in a busy restaurant, hospital, hotel, or similar environment preferred
* Strong culinary skills and passion for high-quality meals
* Experience in kitchen operations and food preparation in a healthcare or catering setting
