OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team.
You would be required to work 3-4 days per week and be flexible with your availability.
Previous experience in the health industry is preferred but not essential.
We are looking for someone who is willing and available to greet patients and visitors in a bright, friendly manner and promptly attend to their needs. Sound judgement, combined with a calm, mature and professional attitude will be highly regarded.
To satisfy this role, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be highly organised and have a high level of attention to detail.
Most important is commitment to the clinic and the team, reliability and flexibility as well as good communication skills and willingness to learn.
This role requires someone with the ability to work a range of flexible hours within Monday – Friday to suit the clinics requirements.
* Perform patient testing such as visual acuity, visual field tests, biometry, OCT scans, and contrast sensitivity testing
* Preparing for minor in room procedures
* Sterilising of medical instruments
* Re-stocking of consumables
What we're looking for
* Experience as ophthalmic assistant or similar role is preferred but not essential as inhouse training will be provided
* Strong customer service skills with excellent communication skills both written and oral
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
* Ability to work semi autonomously when required
* Ability and willingness to learn new and diverse tasks that may present in the future.
