Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Project Manager will oversee the coordination of all mobilisation activities required to establish a Quality Management System (QMS) for the AUKUS program.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/ or hybrid working.Key responsibilities include:Establish a quality mobilisation project plan, specifying clear activity, timelines, priorities and milestones.
Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure alignment.Stakeholder management / liaison – ensuring requirements are communicated, actions understood and milestone timelines committed.SUB/ASC Relationship Management – ensure strong lines of communication between all entities.
Will require some 'out of hours' calls.Integrated Program Team (IPT) Interface – represent Quality during the mobilisation phase as the dedicated SPOC for the IPT.Facilities Management – ensure quality requirements are captured in the project facility plan.Provide cost account support as required.Establish regular status reporting for project leadership on the progress of mobilisation activities, ensuring any risks to project deliverables are clearly communicated.Development of a Quality CONOPS outlining activities for the deployment of the Quality Management System (QMS).Creation of a Quality Metrics Framework, designed to assure the Quality Management System (QMS).About YOUAustralian Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Defence Security & ITAR clearance required.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong leadership and management skills.Strong experience in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.Significant experience in a quality / technical management related position, including proven ability to lead teams.Knowledge of quality related standards ISO9001 & AS9100 and associated Defence Sector Regulatory Frameworks.Certification / Diplomas in Quality related discipline essential.We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
