We hire for personality and train for skill.Our prestigious hotel is centrally located in Cairns City, offering 324 elegantly appointed rooms, 18 versatile meeting spaces, and Coco's Kitchen and Bar, where the menu highlights local fish, seafood, and premium regional produce.Bring your culinary creativity to our kitchen team and help craft memorable dining experiences for every guest.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare high-quality dishes across various kitchen sections, with a strong focus on a la carte, buffet, larder, mise-en-place, room service, and banquets.Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organisation in the kitchen.Contribute to the development of new menu items to enhance the guest dining experience.Mentor and supervise junior staff, offering guidance and training.Apply diverse cooking styles and techniques to deliver exceptional dishes.Foster strong communication and coordination within the kitchen brigade.QualificationsWe are looking for candidates who are passionate about growth and development and committed to making a meaningful impact within our team.
