Situated on the scenic Burrup Peninsula, Yara Pilbara hosts one of the world's largest ammonia production facilities, supplying fertilizer to support global agricultural needs. Adjacent to the fertilizer plant is the Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) Plant, producing essential products for the Australian mining sector.
Yara Pilbara is also spearheading initiatives in Western Australia to establish a groundbreaking renewable hydrogen hub in the Pilbara region.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This apprenticeship is a four-year program, where you will work towards achieving the nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Mechanical Fitter).Over the course of the traineeship you will gain technical knowledge, develop skills to operate production facilities and build up a mechanical aptitude.
This apprenticeship is designed to provide a comprehensive practical and theoretical base that enables the development of mechanical skills, technical procedures and concepts to carry out repairs and maintenance to a wide variety of mechanical equipment, as well as developing safe working practices. Your training will involve both on-the-job and classroom-based learning at the local TAFE.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will have:
* Completion of Secondary Schooling to a Year 11 level (or equivalent)
* A willingness to work as part of a team
* Technical and problem solving skills
* Genuine interest in a career within the industry and motivation to pursue a career as a Mechanical Fitter
* Strong commitment to safety and driven work ethic
* The ability to obtain a Dangerous Goods Security Card
* The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening tests
