About the role
In your role as Senior Sustainability officer, you will provide environmental and sustainability technical and advisory support to the delivery of the Special Activation Precinct program, working collaboratively with stakeholders to embed sustainability initiatives, manage consultants, and deliver outcomes aligned with RGDC's strategic objectives.

Key Accountabilities
* Work collaboratively to manage and support the delivery of RGDC's sustainability program through the provision of business support services to assist businesses in accessing sustainability benefits.
* Contribute to the integration and support the delivery of RGDC's environment and sustainability program to Precinct businesses.
* Support, promote and embed RGDC's strategic direction to ensure sustainability initiatives align with the Corporation's strategies, policies and operating procedures.
* Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders in relation to implementing RGDC's environment and sustainability program.
* Identify opportunities and contribute to initiatives to improve RGDC's environment and sustainability systems and processes.
* Partner with the business areas and key stakeholders to deliver solutions that effectively manage risk and deliver practical sustainability outcomes for RGDC and external stakeholders.
* Manage and coordinate the work of specialist consultants. Source, collate and undertake reviews on specialist sustainability studies and reports
About You
A driven individual that takes an outcome focussed approach to sustainability outcomes. Your well-developed communication skills allow you to coordinate the needs of multiple stakeholders while delivering on program aspirations within tight timeframes. To be successful in this role you will have:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry experience in one or more of the following fields: environmental management, environmental science, net zero, circular economy, project management or related discipline.
* Current Australian Drivers Licence and a willingness and ability to drive may be required depending on the location of the position.
