Your new role
As the Chief Architect (EL2), reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will lead the development, governance and evolution of the organisation's enterprise architecture. You will shape the technology landscape, ensuring ICT solutions are scalable, secure and resilient. This senior leadership position involves guiding architectural decision‐making, mentoring technical specialists, and influencing stakeholders across the organisation to maintain strong alignment between technology direction and business strategy.

What you'll need to succeed
Success in this role requires extensive experience in enterprise architecture, systems development and software lifecycle engineering. You will need to demonstrate:
Essential capabilities
* Enterprise & Business Architecture (STPL Level 7)
o Directing enterprise‐wide architecture
o Developing capability strategies
o Ensuring alignment between business and technology
* Systems Development Management (DLMG Level 6–7)
o Planning and delivering development programs
o Establishing and improving development frameworks
o Authorising systems development structures
* Systems & Software Lifecycle Engineering (SLEN Level 6–7)
o Implementing lifecycle practices for complex systems
o Driving innovation in lifecycle processes
o Ensuring quality and measurable business outcomes
Desirable qualifications
* Cybersecurity certifications (CISM, CISSP, CCSP, CISA, GIAC)
* Relevant degrees or postgraduate qualifications
* Industry frameworks and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, PRINCE2/PMBOK)
