About the role:
Our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer the opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations, creating huge opportunities for growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Officer / Inventory Coordinator to join our team at our HMAS Stirling WA site. You will be responsible for managing the inventory functions by operating our stock control computer system, whilst providing great customer service to our customer, the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The logistics business provides storage, maintenance and distribution in an ongoing contractual agreement.
This role is exciting, challenging and rewarding; no two days will be the same! As the first point of contact for our customer, the ADF, you will need a positive attitude, be an active listener with excellent attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet. In turn, we will provide you with the training and support needed to succeed.
* Ensuring the accurate operation of the inventory stock management system for the control of all aspects of storage, distribution and maintenance
* Ensuring associated stores, clerical and data processing work is carried out
* Managing the inventory system ensuring accuracy at all times
* Monitoring shelf life of stores and assisting with audits and inspections
* Building & maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients
* Demonstrating a personal commitment to all matters relating to health and safety

How About You?
* A Certificate III in Business (Administration) or equivalent
* Previous experience operating a database program
* High level of interpersonal, organisation and communication skills teamed with good attention to detail
* Strong knowledge of standard computer applications including intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
