About the Opportunity
This district-wide position, based in Ingleburn, offers a unique opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You will provide specialist mental health and drug health assessment and intervention to children and young people in out of home care, and families where a Risk of Significant Harm (ROSH) has been identified and where mental health and/or drug health issues are present for the parents. You will also offer high-level consultation to external agencies such as the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), contributing to collaborative care planning in complex child protection matters.

What You'll be Doing
To deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex mental health problems and disorders.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.

SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney.
These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.

* Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.
* Describe your experience in providing trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health and drug health assessment and intervention to vulnerable children, young people, or families involved in child protection or out of home care.
* Provide an example of how you have contributed to service development, quality improvement, or clinical supervision within a mental health setting.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
