About the Position
The Cancer and Stem Cell Laboratory focuses on understanding normal stem cell transformation into cancer stem cells. We aim to develop targeted therapies that eliminate treatment-resistant cells.
Cancer stem cells are key drivers of tumour growth, relapse, and resistance to conventional therapies.
We seek a highly motivated Research Associate to contribute to pioneering research in cancer and stem cell biology.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct independent and collaborative experiments, analyzing data for high-quality research outputs and contributing to impactful publications.
* Present research findings at internal meetings, national and international conferences.
* Supervise and mentor junior researchers and students, ensuring their effective development.
* Assist in planning and coordinating research activities within the laboratory.
* Evaluate and maintain compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ethics approval).
* Apply human and animal ethics approvals/modifications, as well as GMO approvals where necessary.
